Version 1.3!

A short while ago, I posted an update to what’s new with RocketFlag, but in the month and week since then, I’ve been hacking away and bringing even more improvements to RocketFlag!

As always, I want to thank the users of RocketFlag and to those who have provided me some much-needed feedback.

What’s new?

Most of the changes are on the back-end of RocketFlag, with improvements to logging and so on so that I can understand the service, but for a quick summary, the TL;DR is the following:

  • Added OAuth with Google, and I’ve got more providers coming - let me know if you have one in mind that you need.
  • Removed passwords from the app, so you only need an email address now. Better security! 🔐
  • Multi-regional deployments! We’re now live in Belgium, Iowa and Melbourne which should further reduce latency. (more on caching coming soon).
  • Building features out which are hidden by feature flags for the upcoming launch of the Teams Plan. Let me know if you’re interested in this, and I’d be more than happy to set you up with an account and guide you and your team.
  • Organisation of API routes in preparation for more features coming.
  • Some interface cleanup and removing of unnecessary calls to the backend.
  • Improvements to performance with better WAF rules blocking out silly traffic that’s unwanted.
  • Display the name of the environment under the project name.
  • Improvements to cohorts with the API now decoding encoded query strings.

Got questions or feedback or just want a yarn!?

Let me know! I love hearing from RocketFlag users about how they’re using RocketFlag and the problems you’re solving!
